We are now taking bookings for our school workshops for primary and secondary students (years 5-11) to accompany our Spring production of Romeo & Juliet.

Our work seeks to find new audiences for theatre and therefore strives to make work which is relevant to a non-traditional theatre going audience. We pride ourselves on making art in its many forms accessible for the many and not for the few.

We seek to make theatre that empowers, entertains, informs, shakes stuff up  and inspires change. It's what gets us out of bed in the morning.

Omidaze will come to your school and deliver a 2.5 hour workshop on power, politics and Shakespeare. The workshops will explore the story of Romeo & Juliet, the characters & language PLUS the themes raised in the production.

Students will understand Shakespeare, Romeo & Juliet and our political system as a result of the workshop.

The workshops will take students on an empowering whirlwind interactive tour of our UK and Welsh parliamentary and electoral systems AND introduce them to Shakespeare and Iambic Pentameter - all in 2 and a half hours! For years 5-11.

Book now by emailing us on y.murphy1@ntlworld.com.

Workshops available from March 2017.

Cost £200.

Citizenship, Civil disturbance, Conflict, Anger, Abuse and Tragic consequences. Not just a love story. A story of fractured and broken society that ignored lack of unity, tolerance, inclusion and understanding at its peril.

Romeo & Juliet is an Omidaze co-production with Wales Millennium Centre. Supported by the Arts Council of Wales, Theatr Iolo and No Fit State Circus. The workshop programme is supported by the New Theatre Cardiff's Arts Active Programme and A2:Connect - an Arts and Education Network promoting arts activity for schools in the Wales central south region.
